…whose word is their bond -“Above all, my brothers, do not swear–not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your ‘Yes’ be yes, and your ‘No,’ no, or you will be condemned.”(Jms. 5:12) (See Matt.5:37; 23:16-22)

…who put character above wealth -“Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]…”(Heb. 13:5a – Amp. (See Prov. 15:16; Matt. 16:26; 1 Tim. 6:6-9)

…who do not hesitate to take chances – “…I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me…”(Acts 20:24b)(See 1 Sam. 14:1-13; 23:13-17a; Acts 21:10-14)

…who will be honest in small things as in great things -“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”(Luke 16:10)

…who will make no compromise with wrong - “If I have walked in falsehood or my foot has hurried after deceit — let God weigh me in honest scales and he will know that I am blameless – if my steps have turned from the path, if my heart has been led by my eyes, or if my hands have been defiled, then may others eat what I have sown, and may my crops be uprooted.”(Job 31:5-8)(See 1 Chron. 29:17a; Psa. 25:21; Prov. 11:3; 2 Cor. 1:12)

…whose ambitions are not confined to their own selfish desires - “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”(Philip. 2:3)(See Rom.14:7; 2 Cor. 5:15; Jms. 3:14-16)

…who will not say they do it “because everybody else does it” – “The king assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king’s table…But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.”(Dan. 1:5a, 8)(See Dan. 3)

…who are true to their friends through good report and evil report, in adversity as well as in prosperity – “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”(Prov. 17:17)(See Prov. 18:24; Jn. 15:13)

…who do not believe that shrewdness and cunning are the best qualities for winning success – “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” (Prov. 14:23) (See Prov 13:11; 28:19; Eph. 5:29)

…who can say “no” with emphasis although the rest of the world may say “yes” – (Dan 6:1-16)

God, make me this kind of man.
